This term we have the course language teaching strategies with Ms Mohammadi and we're goa give lecture on one lesson of the book Techniques and principles in language teaching, which she introduced in this termFirst lecture was given by Mr. Zarei and me about Grammar-translation method. We learned its definition, what areas of language and language skills are emphasized in and so on
This method is based on grammar which is translated into native language and the way of teaching is deductiv
In deductive teaching grammar, the teacher first gives you the rule and then some examples
Next session Mr. Rezazadeh and Palme came to give a presentation on Lesson 2 about the Direct Method. Again we learned some points from characteristics of this method such as partnership between the teacher and the students in the teaching-learning process, emphasis of this method on vocabulary and even grammar and the way they practice these two areas

I think cooperation is a positive aspect of the class and when needed , Ms Mohammadi clarifies some difficult parts of the book and leaves no question without answer
